Emergency crews were called to the Little River Canyon Mouth Park off of County Road 275 on Sunday afternoon after officials at the park called 911 stating that a small child had nearly drown.
Reports stated that the child was out of the water and conscious at the time of the 911 call, however Cherokee EMS Medics were called to scene to check the child for injuries.
Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office deputies also responded to the scene.
