A Georgia man has been arrested in connection to theft of property, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“Joseph Brady Cook, 24, of Temple, GA, was arrested and charged with one count of second degree receiving stolen property, which is a felon,” Lt. Robin Grant said.
Cook was allegedly in possession of a 1998, green, GMC Sonoma that was reported stolen out of Temple, Georgia. He stated to Lt. Grant that he knew the vehicle was stolen when he purchased it for $500. Lt. Grant discovered the disabled vehicle, and Cook, near the intersection of Thompson Road and Highway 278 West.
He is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $2,500 bond.
