Fortunately no one was injured after a vehicle slammed into the kitchen area of the First Baptist Church Recreational Outreach Center in Centre on Wednesday afternoon. The Centre Police and Fire Departments, Cherokee EMS and workers from DC Gas and Cherokee Electric were all on scene.
The impact caused significant damage to the building.
The driver was checked by paramedics at the scene but only appeared to be shaken up. At this time it is not known exactly what caused the accident.
