iStock/Thinkstock(WASHINGTON) — Jobless claims fell lower last week, decreasing by 19,000, according to the latest figures released Thursday by the Labor Department.
For the week ending April 29, the number of people filing for benefits fell from a unrevised level of 257,000 the previous week to 238,000.
Now at 243,000, four-week moving average increased by 750 from last week’s unrevised average of 242,250.
