Tree Down Across Three Phase Line Leads to Power Outage Early Sunday Morning

A number of Cherokee County residents, mainly in the area of Cedar Bluff, were left without power for approximately three hours early Sunday morning.

According to Sarah Bright with the Cherokee Electric Co op, a tree fell on a three-phase line, causing an outage from around 3:30 until 6:30 that morning; to further complicate matters, a power pole was reportedly struck by a vehicle about 4:30am on County Road 63 in Centre

Crews worked quickly to restore power as soon as possible.  Bright said that the patience of the public was greatly appreciated while repairs were being made
