Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver has confirmed to WEIS Radio News that two people are dead as the result of being struck by a vehicle on County Road 22 Wednesday morning.
The incident took place just past Pruett’s at Cowan Creek with a 9-1-1 call going out shortly after 9:40am. It appears that one man and one woman were fatally injured.
It is believed that a subject is currently in custody.
