Summerville Woman Admits to Robbing Two Convenience Stores

A 54-year-old woman who robbed two Summerville convenience stores received probation for her crimes – that, according to Chattooga County Superior Court records.

Kim Lynn White – who pled guilty to robbing the Summerville Pure Stop and Modern Kwik Stop Convenience Store last year – was given 26 years probation, fined $2,500 and ordered to pay $429.53 in restitution to Pure Stop store clerk Ashley Thomas and $48.00 to Modern Kwik owner Rajesh Patel.

The court also stipulated that White undergo mental health treatment and she was ordered to stay away from both stores.

The Modern Kwik Stop was robbed on March 12th, and the Pure Stop was targeted on April 7th.

Patel didn’t report the robbery at his store, until after the Pure Stop incident.  Investigators even questioned White after the Pure Stop robbery but at that time still didn’t have enough evidence to make an arrest; however at that point an informant called and told police about that unreported Kwik Stop robbery.

Detectives went to the store, and reviewed video of the robbery – which reportedly showed White, without anything obstructing her face – walking into the store on March 12th asking for lottery tickets.  Once the tickets were on the counter she grabbed them and ran from the store to a waiting vehicle.  Patel said he followed her and when he tapped on the window of the truck she produced a knife with a five-inch blade and at that time, he backed off.

After viewing the video, police took out warrants for White and made the arrest.
