A Gaylesville resident arrested locally in connection with the theft of several kayaks in mid-February has now been arrested in neighboring Chattooga County, Georgia.
Dusty Ray Cavin was arrested last week for allegedly stealing those kayaks in early January, and he was arrested on Wednesday of this week (February 22nd) in Georgia on the charges of Theft by Deception and Theft by Bringing Stolen Property into the State.
During his mid-February arrest in Cherokee County, he was also charged with Third Degree Forgery in a separate, unrelated case involving checks.
