Etowah County Man Reportedly Admits to Stealing Items to Trade for Drugs

An Etowah County man apparently intent on trading stolen items for drugs – instead wound up trading them for a “time share” of sorts.

33 year old Michael Titus Knight of Gadsden was offered accommodations in jail after being arrested and charged with two counts of first degree theft of property.

Knight – who was arrested January 12th and charged in connection with the theft of several items taken from a home on Dogwood Street in Boaz reportedly admitted to taking jewelry, a handgun and a vehicle from the location – later trading the stolen goods for drugs.

Investigators say some of the stolen merchandise was recovered from four different homes in the Gadsden area.

 

Knight was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
