Cedar Bluff Residents Left In The Dark After A Portion Of A Power Line Catches Fire

Much of Cedar Bluff was left in the dark late Monday night after a portion of a power line on Highway 68 near the County Road 44 caught fire forcing Cherokee Electric Crews to throw a main breaker while crews worked to repair the problem.

The Cedar Bluff Fire Department and Cherokee Electric Crews were called to the scene just after 10:00 p.m. power to the area was restored to the area just before midnight.

It is not known exactly what caused the malfunction.
