A second arrest has now been made in connection with the armed holdup of John’s Grocery in Rome, Georgia on Tuesday.
Officers were dispatched to the Kingston Highway store just before 4:30 that afternoon and were told by the victims, an employee and one customer, that they’d been held up by three young men armed with handguns. Afterwards the trio fled with around $200; a 17 year old juvenile from Cartersville was arrested later that same day in connection with that incident and charged with Armed Robbery.
That next morning, Brayden James Routledge, age 18, was placed under arrest and charged with Armed Robbery as well.
Investigators say they believe the holdup could possibly be connected with a recent rash of taxi cab robberies taking place in the area.
The investigation into the matter is on-going.
