Trump Pollster Expresses Confidence in Potential for Victory

ABC News(NEW YORK) — Donald Trump’s top pollster on Tuesday said “there’s an enthusiasm gap” for Hillary Clinton voters, and expressed confidence that his candidate will win the election as a result of it.

Trump deputy campaign manager David Bossie focused primarily on the issue of enthusiasm in making his case that Trump will win, also citing the FBI’s latest review of Clinton’s use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state.

“We have closed this gap dramatically over the last week,” Bossie told ABC’s Good Morning America.

Regarding Clinton’s potential legal troubles, he said that he believed it would cause voters to shy away from her.

“They don’t want more years of Clinton investigations,” he said, referencing the impeachment of Bill Clinton in 1998.

Bossie acknowledged that his candidate had a disadvantage in the Electoral College, but said “we’re going to pick off something,” regarding Democratic-leaning states.

“We’re winning in Florida, we’re winning in North Carolina,” Bossie said.
