(Etowah County, Alabama) A Gadsden man has been arrested in connection to a recent robbery, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Tyler Daniel Watts, 27, of Gadsden, was arrested and charged with one count of first degree robbery, which is a felony,” investigator Jeremy Lasseter said.   

Two individuals had gone to Watts’ residence to allegedly pick up some items that belonged to them.  Watts invited them inside the house and then allegedly held one of the individuals at gunpoint, with an AR-15 rifle, and took the victim’s cell phone and wallet.  He then let the individuals leave.       

Watts is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center with a $10,000 cash bond.
