Two Centre residents were hurt in two separate single vehicle accidents Tuesday afternoon in Cherokee County.

According to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident reports the first wreck took place at 1:20pm on County Road 16 some 15 miles east of Centre and involved a 1992 Honda that was being driven by 25 year old Candace McCulley; while the second occurred shortly after 3:00pm on County Road 30, six miles north of Centre; the crash involved a 1999 Ford being driven by 30 year old Dusty Rogers.

Reports indicated that both drivers were wearing their seatbelts; no additional information regarding the extent of their injuries was noted.

Both accidents remain under investigation by state troopers.
