Rome Man Tries to Outrun Police on His Scooter; It Doesn’t Work

Newell, Jr.Rome Police arrested, easily, a 54 year old man who tried to flee from them…on a scooter.

Calvin Newell, Jr. had allegedly stolen a bag containing an iPhone 5, a driver’s license, bank card, child support card and a phone case.

When spotted by officers he tried to make a quick getaway on his scooter but apparently he quickly decided it would be faster to flee on foot; they caught him anyway.
