Gadsden police have identified the man whose body was discovered Monday morning in Big Wills Creek as 64 year old J.L. Shadrick of Attalla.
An exact cause of death has not yet been determined and police are still waiting for the results of an autopsy from the Department of Forensic Sciences in Huntsville.
Fishermen found the body in the water about 6:30 a.m. near a low head dam at a defunct pump station near Brooke Avenue. The body was pulled from the water a little after 9 a.m. Monday by the Gadsden Fire Department.
