A woman was killed in a single-vehicle accident at Taylor’s Ridge on Highway 27 in Chattooga County Tuesday.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, 43-year old Kimberly Carrion from Summerville was negotiating a curve to the left on the wet road and lost control.
Her Mercury Mountaineer traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturned and struck a tree with its top.
Carrion, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was fatally injured.
The wreck occurred at around 2:20 p.m. just south of Kirby Hollow Road.
