The name of the person killed in a fiery crash involving two 18 wheelers in Gadsden Friday, (June 24th) has now been released.
That head-on collision occurred in the eastbound lane of I-759 between Rainbow Drive and Black Creek Parkway, just after 5:00am – claiming the life of 67 year old Andalusia resident, Stanley Kenneth Davis; the other driver identified as 41 year old Terry Clarence Rigdon of a White, Georgia address was injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.
According to reports one of the trucks veered into the lane of the other 18 wheeler near the right-hand shoulder of the road, although it has yet to be made clear which vehicle it was.
The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
