An 80 year old Ragland resident was fatally injured in a single-vehicle accident taking place on Alabama 144 early Sunday morning in Calhoun County.
Bobby Lee Hicks was killed, when his 2014 Ford Taurus left the roadway and overturned at around 8:30am approximately four miles west of Alexandria.
He was air-lifted to UAB, where he died of injuries sustained in the wreck.
It remains unclear what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway, and the accident currently remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
