
A Cherokee County resident was arrested across the state line in neighboring Floyd County, Georgia earlier in the month.
25 year old James Brandon Spivey of Gaylesville was booked into the Floyd County jail on a number of charges, including arson and assault.
Spivey and another individual stand accused of setting a home in Armuchee on fire; he was taken into custody following a car, and foot chase, at another home on Preacher Smith Road in Silver Creek.
