A Cherokee County woman was lucky to escape injury, after hitting a horse on County Road 97, just after 11:30 Tuesday night.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report listed the location of the accident as being approximately three-and-one-half-miles east of Gaylesville and the 40 year old driver – a resident of Gaylesville – was extremely fortunate not too have been hurt in the mishap.
It’s unclear who actually owned the horse.
