The weather couldn’t have been better for the 1st Annual Park Appreciation Day recently held in the Town Park in Cedar Bluff.

This event was sponsored by the Town of Cedar Bluff and held to showcase some of the parks newest amenities including a new jungle gym as well as the recent addition of a handicap accessible swing donated by the Cherokee County Civitan Club.

Hundreds of kids flooded the park throughout the day for free snow cones and popcorn handed out by Mayor Tammy Crane and also enjoyed some much anticipated recreation time as well.

Mayor Crane wished to thank o everyone who came out and helped make the day special for the kids of the community, she said there was an estimated 475 kids throughout the event.
