Mrs. Kathryn Black, age 86 of Gaylesville, passed away Tuesday April 5th at her residence.

Graveside services will be held 11:AM Thursday at Randle Cemetery with Rev. Melvyn Salter officiating.

She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Wayne) Stafford; brother, Sherman Bryant “Buddy” Hammett of Elmore City, OK; grandchild, Tina Elizabeth (Keith) Rowland; great-grandchild, Andrew Robert Rowland, several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Black.

Mrs. Black is a native of Cherokee County, she daughter of the late Sherman and Mildred Louise Edwards Hammett and she was a member of Gaylesville Methodist Church.
