Altoona Man Arrested For Forging A Check Using A Fictitious Name

TimothyDewayneWallsAn Altoona man faces charges over writing a forged check with a fictitious name.

Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin said 38 year old Timothy DeWayne Walls has been charged with third degree possession of a forged instrument.

Walls was arrested Saturday after Investigators said he cashed a forged check for $315.77 at an Attalla gas station.

Entrekin said he wrote the check on a non-existent account using a non-valid driver’s license under a fictitious name.

Walls was booked into the Etowah County Detention Center and later released on $1,500 bond.
