Local Performer Lands A Job As Cast Member At Dollywood

Chad1Centre native Chad Steed is living every young actor’s dream.

Since high school, Chad has been active in the performing arts in Cherokee County, growing from an inexperienced but dedicated young actor into a confident performer who can make any stage his own; along the way, he gained valuable experience, not only as a writer but as a director as well, in many TheatreCentre productions.

Earlier in the week we sat down with Steed and in an exclusive interview he shared with us some memories of those early days:

Following those formative years Steed eventually had the opportunity to greatly expand his horizons – joining both TheatreCentre and Theatre of Gadsden:

Long hours, hard work and a tireless dedication to doing what he loves – has now led him to the latest phase of his career – moving to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where he’ll become part of the team at Dollywood.

Chad will be a member of the cast of the Little Engine Playhouse which is sponsored by Penguin Books, each year they take three children’s books and transform them into 15-20 minute children’s musicals, Chad has also been asked to be a part of the touring shows which will tour festivals, schools and libraries all across the state of Tennessee.

Steed wishes to extend a very heartfelt thank you to Cherokee County for supporting him during his career and invites everyone to makes plans to attend a show at Dollywood in the future.
