Area firefighters were dispatched to a report of a house fire, occurring in the Spring Garden area, shortly after 8:00pm Tuesday.
Firefighters quickly arrived at the location on County Road 27, just south of 29 and were on the scene all night, finally leaving about 4:00am Wednesday.
The family was not at home when the fire occurred.
Departments responding to the scene included Spring Garden, Ellisville and Piedmont.
Cherokee County Fire & Arson Investigator Shawn Rogers was called to the scene.
