54 year old Daniel Lee Goodwin was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Gadsden Road near Cave Spring on Monday.

He was air-lifted from the scene for treatment following that crash, which occurred around 9:30 that night.

Now, Goodwin is facing DUI charges in addition to citations for failure to maintain lane, and for not using a seat belt; the Georgia State Patrol report indicated that Goodwin lost control of his Dodge pickup, then overturned in a small drainage ditch – partially ejecting him from the vehicle.
