MRS. LAURA BEATRICE MACKEY age 86 of Gadsden passed away Saturday June 14, 2014 at Gadsden Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday June 17th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Bill Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 P.M. Monday.
Pallbearers include Nathan Coleman, Chip Little, Jeff Keener, Michael Chestnut, Jerry Crane & Matt Rodgers. Honorary Pallbearer will be Terry Keener.
Survivors include son, Clyde ‘Buddy” Mackey of Gadsden: daughters, Donna Hand of Hokes Bluff, Regina Coleman of Gadsden & Anita (Jerry) Rodgers of Campbellsville, Ky. 4 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild.
Mrs. Mackey was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Lee Mackey: brother, Houston Mackey: sisters, Margaret Keener & Helen Roberts.
Mrs. Mackey was a native of Etowah County, the daughter of the late Herman and Maggie Hale Mackey & a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church.
