An Internal Review is currently being conducted by the Etowah County Sheriff’s Office – in the wake of the arrest of a Detention Center employee over the weekend.

Detention Deputy George Dennis Bullock, age 41, was arrested around 11:00 Friday night (June 6th) in the 500 block parking lot between Broad Street and Locust Street – where – according to witnesses he grabbed a woman by the neck during a scuffle, then grabbed his stun gun before the woman managed to knock it away.

Bullock was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence 3rd Degree and was released on bond of $1,000.
