Sarah Bright with the Cherokee Electric Co-op has informed WEIS Radio that the power outage that hit portions of Cherokee County around 6:30 this morning is apparently due to a three-phase circuit being out.
That outage currently includes downtown Centre, an area along the Cedar Bluff Road near the CVS Pharmacy and East Centre out Highway 411.
Repair crews are currently working to restore power to these areas; no estimated time of repair has yet been given
