New Cherokee County DHR Director Gerald Ware recently visited the WEIS Radio studios – to discuss the many services offered by his department – including some that many people may not be aware of.

Ware says he plans to raise awareness about the services provided by the Department of Human Resources in Cherokee County and said he has enjoyed being here since coming onboard earlier in the year.

Ware reminded WEIS Radio listeners that anyone wishing to report abuse of a child, or an adult, can do so by calling Cherokee County DHR at (256) 927-1440. Any information provided will remain strictly confidential at the request of the caller.

The local DHR office is located at 202 Dean Buttram, Sr. Avenue in Centre.
