23 year old Piedmont resident Jeremy Owen was fatally injured in a two-vehicle accident shortly before 6:00pm Monday.
His vehicle collided with another vehicle then left the roadway and struck a tree off Alabama 144 approximately three miles west of Alexandria.
The Alabama State Trooper accident report indicated that Owen wasn’t wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
That accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
