Cherokee County authorities arrested three individuals on drug charges Thursday (April 24th).

Richard Lee Kirby, age 31 of Rainbow City and Jonathon Cody Chapman, age 44 of Attalla were each charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, with one count each of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and with one count each of the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office website, Kirby and Chapman were booked in at the Cherokee County Detention Center shortly after midnight and no bond amount was listed.

Terry Benjamin Tays, age 47 of Centre was charged with two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and one count of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

He was booked in just after 12:00 noon, with bond being set at $5,500.
