3rd District Congressman Mike Rogers will face a Primary challenge in June from a fellow Republican.
Thomas Casson of Auburn has qualified to seek the seat that Rogers has held for the last 12 years.
Rogers currently serves on the Agriculture Committee, the Armed Services Committee and the Homeland Security Committee.
The winner of the Primary will have Democratic opposition in the November General Election.
Either Rogers or Casson will face Jesse T. Smith, who has also qualified for the 3rd District seat.
Smith is a U.S. Army Combat Veteran, who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
