No serious injuries in a bizarre two-vehicle accident on West Main Street in Centre Monday afternoon which left one car partially lodged beneath another.

The mishap occurred just after 2:30 p.m. in front of the Chevron Express Mart and involved a Honda Accord and a Ford Fusion.

The Fusion ended up on top of the Accord.

It was initially believed there was an entrapment, but thankfully that was not the case as everyone was able to get out safely.

Once again, it appears as though no one was seriously injured.

That incident occurred about an hour after another wreck near the CVS Pharmacy at the By Pass and the Cedar Bluff Road.

There were no injuries reported in that wreck either, although one vehicle did lose its bumper.

The accidents serve as a reminder that there are more cars on the roadways due to the Christmas Holiday, so please drive with extra caution and slow down.
