A third man has now been charged in connection with the murder of Rome resident, Willie Terry Slack, last New Year’s Eve – although the suspect is already in prison.
Rome Police Lieutenant Gary Clayton stated Tuesday evening, that warrants have been taken out on DeWayne LeBron Reynolds for single counts of Murder and Armed Robbery.
Slack was shot to death last December 31st outside a home on Kingston Avenue in Rome.
According to the Georgia Department of Corrections website, Reynolds is currently incarcerated at Spalding State Prison in Griffin, Georgia, following his conviction on a Possession of Cocaine charge in Floyd County; he has been behind bars since August 1st of this year (2013).
Willie Lewis Dublin, age 31, and Darnell LaBron Mitchell, age 26 – were both arrested by Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies on November 22nd at a home on Harper Avenue in Rome; both stand charged with Murder and Armed Robbery.
The investigation into the slaying of Willie Slack is on-going.
