The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization that works as an advocate for area businesses.
Another function is promoting the area as a tourist destination.
On Monday, Thereasa Hulgan made a presentation regarding the chamber’s financial information during the Cherokee County Commission’s planning session.
The chamber ‘s budget from May of 2012 to April of 2013 was just over 200-thousand dollars.
The chamber also works with the Industrial Development Authority to sustain local jobs and bring in new ones.
Hulgan shared details of some new initiatives with the commission.
