Mrs. Lois Veatrice Laney, age 86 of Sand Rock, passed away Saturday October 19th at Cherokee Health and Rehab.

Funeral services will be 3:PM Sunday, October 20th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Melvyn Salter officiating; burial will follow in Hunt’s Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3:PM Sunday.

Pallbearers include Jerry Green, Clark Gross, Don Oliver, William Bachelor, Jasper Hancock, Harold Hancock.

Survivors include her brother, James (Ramona) Bachelor of Rainsville, Joe A. Bachelor of Sand Rock; sister, Vera Moss of Nebraska; special niece, Virginia Gross of Cedar Bluff; several nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Arnold Bachelor, Morgan Bachelor; sister, Barbara Green.

Mrs. Laney was a native of Georgia, the daughter of the late James William and Edna Gertrude Kirby Bachelor and was of the Baptist faith.
