Local Masons were up bright and early Saturday, flipping pancakes to help those in need.
Kevin Grimes with the Sam Dixon Masonic Lodge #218 says that holding a pancake breakfast in the fall is new this year.
Grimes says the Masonic Lodge helps the Nettie King Brown Clearing House each Christmas.
They also contribute to a shoe project in conjunction with the state organization.
Masons also help people locally with storm and fire damage.
Lately, they have also assisted people with an illness in their family with needs related to transportation.
For just five dollars, you could get all you can eat pancakes along with sausage and a drink during Saturday’s breakfast.
