Judge Sheri W. Carver received a 300-hour certificate from Alabama Chief Justice Roy S. Moore at the Judge’s Annual Continuing Education Training on July 17th (2013). In 1984, the Alabama Judicial College and representatives of the Circuit and District Judge’s Associations launched the continuing education certificate program.
As a judge, there is no requirement to acquire CLE credit – however – the Alabama Judiciary has always recognized the importance of continuing legal education, as a method of building a strong judicial system and being responsive to the citizens of the state.
Awards are presented in 100-hour increments, which must be obtained within a four-year period, with programs conducted within the state of Alabama.
