The Cherokee County Church Volleyball League concluded a two-night tournament Friday behind the Babe Ruth Field next to the Centre City Park.
Scott Hayes, President of the League says the season starts in June with the tournament in August.
He estimates the league has been going for 35 or 40 years.
This year there were 10 ladies teams, 7 men’s teams and four kid’s teams.
Hayes says the season and tournament are about more than just volleyball.
He also adds that churches from many different denominations participate.
Unlike years past, the weather cooperated nicely for this year’s tournament.
