An Attalla man has been arrested and charged for giving false identification to law enforcement officers, according to Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
38-year old Allen Lee Deal is charged with one count of using false identity to obstruct justice, which is a felony, according to Investigator Ben Greene.
Deal was arrested after giving Sheriff’s Office investigators a false identification when they stopped the vehicle he was riding in on Friday, June 14th.
The traffic stop was initiated after investigators noticed the vehicle’s expired license plate.
Deal is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $2,500 bond for the charge stated above.
He is also being held on warrants from Southside and Attalla police departments and for Etowah County Community Corrections.
