Gadsden Police were contacted by three men Sunday afternoon (May 5th) who reported that they were robbed at gunpoint inside their residence on River Street.
The men – ages 44, 38 and 17 – said they answered a knock at the door around 4:00pm, and two black males armed with handguns, pushed their way into the home – and demanded gold jewelry and wallets.
Once they had robbed the three victims, the suspects fled to a waiting vehicle – possibly a Camry that was gold in color – occupied by two other black males; as the victims were standing on the porch of the home attempting to get a tag number, one suspect inside the vehicle reportedly fired three rounds in their direction.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
According to Gadsden Police Captain Bobby Jackson, the investigation is on-going.
