One Killed, Two Injured in Sunday Morning Accident

One person was killed and two injured in a Sunday morning accident in Calhoun County.

According to Alabama State Trooper accident reports, the three-vehicle accident occurred shortly after 5:30am on Highway 204 approximately 9 miles west of Jacksonville.

Richard Davis, Jr. age 26 – driving a 2002 Chevy Tahoe – was transported to UAB for treatment; 20 year old Cody Phillips – driving a 1999 Ford F-150 – was taken to RMC Jacksonville; while 41 year old Kimberly Moore McCoy – driving a 1999 Honda Accord – was fatally injured in that crash.

All three drivers were Jacksonville residents.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
