Two men caught cheating in a recent fishing tournament on Lake Guntersville – will NOT be banned from further competition according to reports from WAFF TV.

Both Robert Gillaspie and Gary Minor, Jr. are accused of cheating during a “Night Owls Fishing Tournament” after allegedly turning in a fish they’d reeled in BEFORE the tournament began.

They’ve each been charged with Tampering with a Sporting Event, however the attorney for the tournament’s director says the two are not banned from the tournament – so they plan to return to the water on Tuesday (May 20th).

WAFF did report that in light of the charges – the tournament director is amending those rules to give himself discretion related to any future incidents of the sort.
