An eighteen year old Trion High School senior was arrested on Wednesday of this week, on a statutory rape charge, following allegations surfacing, that she had had sexual relations with a fourteen year old minor.

Investigators with the Chattooga County Sheriffs Office told media outlets on Thursday that Rachel Renee McWilliams of a LaFayette address is accused of having sexual relations with the minor in Chattooga County on at least three separate occasions.

None of the incidents occurred on school property.

McWilliams was booked into the Chattooga County Jail Wednesday afternoon and has since been released on bond.
