Mr. Johnny Abernathy, 66 of Piedmont passed away Monday December 28th at his home.
Graveside service will be 1 P.M. (EST) Thursday, December 31st at Lyerly Cemetery, with Steve Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Wednesday at Perry Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife Elaine Morgan Abernathy; daughter Janice Welsh of Piedmont; sister Betty Harrelson of Berryton, GA; grandchildren Michelle Parris, April Westbrook, Christi Bishop, Greg Welsh; great granddaughter Serenity Parris. Special friends Perk Schrader, Jerry Wilson, Richard Echols.
Mr. Abernathy was a native of Dekalb County, and the son of the late Sebie and Bertha Mae Schrader Abernathy.
