Cherokee County Engineer Corey Chambers tells WEIS Radio News, Flooding is effecting travel, County road 275 at Little River is Flooded along with Al Hwy 273 at Little River. At least two people had to be rescued from that area overnight including a Kayaker.
The Etowah County Highway Department has reported all roadways West of, and including, Highway 179 are impassible.
It is likely to be sometime later today before the water will recede and these roads passable again.
