Two people were arrested on drug charges overnight.
Scottie Eugene Abernathy, age 37 of Geraldine – is facing a number of charges including the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and DUI in addition to Carry a Concealed Weapon without a Permit. Meanwhile 58 year old Wallace Horace Dixon of Cedar Bluff, was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree.
Abernathy was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center just after midnight, with Dixon being booked in at 11:40pm.
