Scam E-Mail Sent to TDS Customers

TDS 1TDS customers need to be on the lookout for a fraudulent e-mail which started appearing in the inbox of some residents last Friday (October 9th).

The message, which may have the subject line Payment Declined appears to come from TDS billing. This is NOT an official e-mail from TDS. That e-mail states that a payment has been declined; it then instructs the customer to log-in to update their payment information.

DO NOT DO THIS.

The links in the e-mail take you to a fake website which looks like the TDS log-in page.

DO NOT LOG-IN and DO NOT CLICK ANY OF THE LINKS IN THE E-MAIL.

Instead, simply delete the e-mail.

You account could be at risk is you opened the e-mail, clicked one of the links and logged-in – if that’s the case, you will need to change your password.

You can change your password, by logging into the My Account section, of the TDS Telecom website. You may also dial 1-888-CALL-TDS for assistance.
